Tips

  1. Take things slow. Don't rush.
    • Minecraft Beta is naturally a slower paced game, focused much less on progression and more on exploration and creativity. So don't worry about speedrunning max diamond gear immediately, you'll have a longer, more enjoyable experience anyways if you take your time. It's called "delayed gratification" :3c
  2. "Ugly" is beautiful, actually.
    • Don't follow build tutorials. Don't worry about "style" or "theme" (unless you enjoy that stuff, then go ahead! I'm nyot your dad :p)… just build. It doesn't matter if it looks "good" or "bad", just build whatever your heart desires! <3 (it's Beta Minecraft, it's gonna look at least decent without much effort)
  3. It's okay to be bored.
    • In fact, boredom is good for you. Modern Minecraft is so meowing stimulating, with new sights and side-quests at every corner, that it never lets you get bored! Beta Minecraft isn't like that. You probably will be bored. But you know what? The brain generates the most creativity and ideas when it's bored.
  4. Try playing with others, if you'd like.
    • I get being a lone wolf… I was like that too! But humans are social creatures that require social interaction & connection almost as much as you need to breathe or eat. You could simply talk in Minecraft's chat, hop into Bark! VC, or even hop into a call with your bestie! You could work together on a build, explore together, mine together, whatever! Or you could just chat, that's okay too!
  5. Have fun!
    • If you just aren't feeling it today, that's alright! You should take breaks when needed to avoid burnout. Doesn't matter whether the break is just for a few hours, a few days, or several weeks… we cannot exert ourselves all the time and that's okay! These breaks could even come in the form of only playing for an hour or two each day (tbh that could be it's own item but this is already long :p).
